BG WHO?'

Is it just me... or is GIRL POWER making a return?

Its has been a while since the Spice Girls phase which took my generation by storm with an army of girl powered enthusiastic fans who dressed from head to toe like their favorite member. There were several other girl groups to follow suite such as Destiny's Child, Edens Crush, Dream, and more recently Danity Kane - all of which have ended. And who could forget about The Pussycat Dolls, who are as of now on hiatus.

If you haven’t been watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians, you may not have heard of the five girls next in line to take the world by storm – The BG5.


Brooke Adams, Noreen Juliano, Mandy Jiroux, Laura New and Dominique Domingo were originally booked in the summer of 2008 as an act for the AVP beach Volleyball tour under the name “The Beach GIrl5.” It was when they finished with the tour that they decided they had something as a group that they didn’t want to loose, and wanted to pursue fame together. After growing as the “Beach Girl5” they then evolved to the “Bg5."

Currently the girls are touring the UK, and soon they’ll return back to the U.S for a fifteen-city tour. After their debut on KUWTK this past Sunday many are waiting to hear more from these ladies who have a fun upbeat sound, great energy, and a genuine passion for performing. Off stage their personalities all are equally dynamic. “Scratch” is the first single set to be released in early 2011.

Needless to say, these girls are talented. And not to mention HOT. We should all definitely be on the look out for them in the future.

Sweet Beats?

ALRIGHT - First (official) blog post. And there is something serious i would like to discuss. MUSIC. There are a few artists i've started to fall in LOVE with the past couple of weeks. I literally go through iTunes for music i can really get pumped up to and get in a good mood from. So they are...

1. Robyn - This Swedish beauty is like a breath of fresh air straight from 80's. Her recent hits like "Dancing on My Own" is definitely different from her first hit "Show Me Love" from her debut album Robyn is Here (1997). And to top off her great music, SHE'S HOT! Blonde, blue eyes, and she's got sweet dance moves. What's to hate? I have "Dancing on My Own" on repeat wherever i go. And did you see her on the VMA's? HOT! I was disappointed that MTV only kept her on for about 30 seconds. Lame. I WANT MORE ROBYN! Check out "Dancing on My Own" below !!




2. Bruno Mars - Can you say TALENTED? This ADORABLE singer/songwriter has co-written hits like "Nothin' on You" - B.O.B., "Billionaire" - Travie McCoy, and "Right Round" by Flo Rida. Aside from song writing, Bruno recently had his first Billboard Hot 100 hit (also #1 on iTunes) which originally hit in the U.K. "Just the Way You Are." BUT my recent obsession has to be his new single "Liquor Store Blues" feat. Damian Marley. This song is perfect to listen to anywhere, any day, at any time. Needless to say he is definetley an artist to watch out for in the future, not to mention he's not to terrible to look at!
