BG WHO?'

Is it just me... or is GIRL POWER making a return?

Its has been a while since the Spice Girls phase which took my generation by storm with an army of girl powered enthusiastic fans who dressed from head to toe like their favorite member. There were several other girl groups to follow suite such as Destiny's Child, Edens Crush, Dream, and more recently Danity Kane - all of which have ended. And who could forget about The Pussycat Dolls, who are as of now on hiatus.

If you haven’t been watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians, you may not have heard of the five girls next in line to take the world by storm – The BG5.


Brooke Adams, Noreen Juliano, Mandy Jiroux, Laura New and Dominique Domingo were originally booked in the summer of 2008 as an act for the AVP beach Volleyball tour under the name “The Beach GIrl5.” It was when they finished with the tour that they decided they had something as a group that they didn’t want to loose, and wanted to pursue fame together. After growing as the “Beach Girl5” they then evolved to the “Bg5."

Currently the girls are touring the UK, and soon they’ll return back to the U.S for a fifteen-city tour. After their debut on KUWTK this past Sunday many are waiting to hear more from these ladies who have a fun upbeat sound, great energy, and a genuine passion for performing. Off stage their personalities all are equally dynamic. “Scratch” is the first single set to be released in early 2011.

Needless to say, these girls are talented. And not to mention HOT. We should all definitely be on the look out for them in the future.
